FacebookI’ve been a frequent onlooker and bystander of L’Avenue. I always pass by it to people watch while strolling along Avenue Montaigne. It’s a place to see and be seen with fashionable ladies and gentlemen of all ages strutting their latest designer gear, Birkin bags, Louboutin shoes or Brioni jackets — including how and what NOT to wear.
As the place is often full, at least the terrace where I want to sit, I’ve never really managed to wine and dine there. Not until this time. Well, I absolutely enjoyed the ambiance and the food was not shabby either. In fact, quite good. And while you might think of it as a snobbish place, I found the staff very friendly and helpful, especially with my daughter. In addition, the guests who were sitting close to us also played a little bit with Sophie.
For those who have seen the Paris episodes of Sex and the City, it was at L’Avenue where Carrie saw four ladies hanging out and having a meal together, deeply reminding her of her BFFs in New York. And what do you know, there were four fabulously dressed women bonding, giggling and having a great time while we were there.
