The Notre Dame de Paris is one of my favorite churches. A great way to see it is by walking along the banks of the Seine and just right below Pont Saint-Michel, you see it magically appear before your eyes.

While many Catholic cathedrals in Europe feel cold and eery, with just a few devotees attending mass, I find warmth, peace and comfort inside the Notre Dame … a sanctuary, just like Quasimodo.
